Why a Chinese Culture Alliance?

The Chinese Culture Alliance aims to create a global platform for cultural practitioners, artists, scholars, and institutions to collaborate on the promotion, preservation, and development of Chinese culture worldwide. The Alliance will offer opportunities in the following areas:

Organization and coordination of cultural events for practitioners and creators — concerts, readings, performances, and festivals.

Tours & Exhibitions

Facilitation of international tours, exhibitions, and artistic exchanges for cultural practitioners across countries and continents.

Cultural Export & Translation

Promotion of cultural exchange including literary translations, cross-cultural publishing projects, and making Chinese cultural works accessible to international audiences.

Education & Training

Development of training programs, workshops, and educational initiatives for cultural professionals and the next generation of cultural ambassadors.

Sponsors & Partners

Building a network of sponsors, institutional partners, and supporters to ensure sustainable funding and long-term collaboration.

Documentation, Preservation & Maintenance

Documentation, preservation, and active maintenance of cultural heritage — including intangible cultural practices, traditional arts, and endangered cultural expressions.

Founding Assembly — Agenda

The founding assembly will address the following key topics:

  • Adoption of the Charter / Constitution of the Chinese Culture Alliance
  • Discussion of the founding rationale — why this Alliance is needed and what it aims to achieve
  • Funding concept — how to finance the Alliance and its activities sustainably
  • Organizational structure, leadership, and governance
  • Planning of initial projects and activities

Cultural practitioners and institutions from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas Chinese communities worldwide are especially welcome to participate. The Alliance embraces the full breadth and diversity of Chinese culture across all regions and traditions.

How to Participate

To attend the founding assembly, register for WACS 10 and select "Chinese Culture Alliance Founding" as one of your events on the registration form. The founding assembly is included in the conference fee — no additional costs.
